It brings together a selected country, a well thought out committee, established photographers and the public. The prize was established in 2007 and the first Grange prize was between China and Canada. The 2008 winner was Sarah Anne Johnson from Winnipeg Manitoba and her contenders were Raymonde April from Montreal, Huang Yan from Changchun, Miao Xiaocchun and Liu Zheng from Beijing. This year, Canada is going up against Mexico, and I think it’s going to be a tight race. Nominated this year is:
