George S. Zimbel – Monroe and Kennedy

These are two figures, in their own right, that have marked American history.

First, these iconic images of Marylin Monroe are from the shooting of the film The Seven Year Itch, with the famous white dress. George “accidentally” got a press pass to shoot the event. He got “the” shot but he also captured Marylin not acting. Images of her tired and serious, reveals a different side of Marylin on the set.

These images are part of a larger series that can be found on George’s site.

These images of Jacqueline & John F. Kennedy are part of a larger series that George has done about politicians in the U.S.A and Canada. From Nixon, Truman and Trudeau to ball room events, George gives an interesting glimpse at these often larger than life personalities in a way that you feel like you were at the event with them.
