Street photography of the 20th century is essential to the history of photography and George S. Zimbel’s work fits right in there. Shooting for Life, New York Times, among many others, George captured the nuances of the everyday life. I’m really in love with the attention to details that he brings to his work, subtle but yet so involving, almost feeling like you just jump in the picture.

These images are a selection from his New York work but all of it can be found on George’s website.
