Last night i went to the opening night of UMA, La Maison de l’image et de la photographie, featuring Gabor Szilasi, Guy Glorieux and Mia Donovan with a theme show titled Le Coin (the area). The show was exhibited on St-Laurent street near Ste-Catherine street and this area is where artists, sex, drugs and impoverished “streetsers” live.
I love Szilasi’s work but i didn’t know Mia Donovan’s work, so today i looked her up. I’m still intrigued and undecided but then images of sex, for me, almost always seem to take a while to settle in for an opinion.
